Meck Lock

Sussex Soundz can supply and fit the new highly secure Meck Lock immobiliser for cars vans, trucks, HGV, Horseboxes, Plant, and other vehicles with hydraulic circuits including clutch, including Forward movement, Reverse movement, Cabin rotation, Steering, Bucket lifting and also air park brake circuits on HGV's.

The Meck Lock system immobilises (depending on the system you order and your vehicle type) one or more of your vehicles hydraulic circuits as mentioned above and in some cases it is possible to add electronic immobilisation via your vehicles starter circuit for added security.

With any or all of these systems immobilised you can leave your vehicle in the knowledge that know one will be able to jump in and drive away your load even if you leave your vehicle running (which is ideal for recovery trucks and hyab lorries and so on that need the vehicle to be running for their winches and cranes to operate).

Clutch Immobiliser:- Renders the vehicle inoperable as the clutch will not depress and therefore the vehicle will not go into gear.

Air Handbrake:- Renders the vehicle immobile as with the air handbrake system immobilised the brake will not come off and the vehicle is unable to even be towed.

Starter Circuit:- Renders the vehicle unable to start once the engine is stalled or switched off.

Door Buzzer:- Sounds when the drivers door of the vehicle is opened and the system is not switched on, to remind the driver to remove the Mechlock key.

The immobiliser must be activated for it to protect your vehicle, there is no excuse for forgetting to activate it if you have a door buzzer reminder!

Plant Lock

Forward movement:- Renders the vehicle unable to drive forward so if the machinery is left backed up onto something then it is unable to be moved.

Reverse movement:- If used in conjunction with forward movement immobilisation vehicle is left un able to move.

Steering:- Theives will not get far driving in a straight line.

Bucket lifting:- If you wedge the bucket down into the earth before removing the Meck Lock key then the vehicle will be left anchored into place.

Meck Lock immobilises the above vehicles by isolating one or more of the vehicles hydraulic circuits including Forward movement, Reverse movement, Cabin rotation, Steering, Bucket lifting. Lock it, Don't loose it!

*Price is for standard installation in the East Sussex and surrounding West Sussex and Kent Areas, additional costs may be required for door switch replacement and switch installation for vehicles who's interior lights that are not operated by the drivers door opening. Subject to availability.

**Price is based on installation of the accessory at the same time as a Mechlock M020 or M040 and additional costs will apply for separate installation of accessories.
